The Band

BaggywrinklesBlues are a collection of five experienced musicians who got together in 2016 to continue playing music whilst living on the Isle of Wight

Frankie

Frontman and vocalist extraordinaire. Numerous single releases in the late 1960’s including ‘Girl’ with The Truth.  Frank was one of the original cast of the musical ‘Hair’ at Shaftsbury Theatre, London.

From the early ‘70’s he spent many years recording albums and touring internationally with Cozy Powell.  After Cozy’s untimely death he moved to the Island to escape from London!

Frankie

Heather

Keyboards and Guitar. Worked widely in the music business since leaving school, including demo’ing keyboards / synthesizers, writing music college courses / teaching, and running a women’s music project, She’s played with numerous bands and has written and recorded original material.

Living on the Island and needing to exercise her musical performing skills Heather was the catalyst for the band’s formation.

Heather

Alan

Versatile drummer who throughout his career has performed and recorded with musicians across the breadth of musical styles. Member of numerous bands ranging from country rock to heavy metal.

Before moving to the Island he worked alongside musicians from both Amy Winehouse’s and Jaimie Cullum’s backing bands.

Alan

Jim

Guitar & Mandolin and Harmonica. Played in various band formats since the mid-sixties in and around south-west London including the Crawdaddy Club (first residency of the Rolling Stones).

His heart has always been in blues and rock n’ roll – evidenced by his collection of classic American guitars – Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster, Fender precision Bass, Gibson ES335, Rickenbacker 330/12 and a Washburn Woodstock electro-acoustic.

Jim

Terry

Bass, has played music since 15 years old having a claim to fame with playing at the Cavern Club, Liverpool, at the same time (not literally) as the Beatles.

He’s travelled the world playing music to the rich and famous, and since coming to the Island has played bass – both traditional double-bass and his electric ‘stick’ bass with various jazz, fifties rockabilly and covers bands before finally landing with Baggywrinklesblues.
